MX & Speedway Memories announce “BSMA Reunion” Race event – Entries Now Open!
Lee Ashby of “MX & Speedway Memories” and Kevin Wheeler are turning their dream into reality and will be running a “BSMA reunion” Motocross meeting, which will be held at the superb Whiteway Barton venue in Devon on the 4th and 5th September.
Booking is now live for the event, which is already attracting a number of big names, including the likes of Carl Nunn, Brian Jorgenson and Greg Hanson, as well as our very own Jeff Perrett, who will be throwing his leg over his KX250 for the weekend.
Talking to Lee about the event, he said “It should be a great family weekend and a great reunion of all the former BSMA guys and girls from the ’80s and 90’s eras! It’s open to all, though, I will say too! Myself and Kevin Wheeler will do our best to make it a superb catch up and meeting for everyone; we really appreciate all the interest from everyone, so get yourself booked in. It’s £110 race entry fee for the weekend. Only £10 for adults for the weekend spectators entry fee. U16 free. No camping fees. Riders who pay to ride will get plus 2 free too.
There will be a Legends group on the Sunday only with a couple of sessions of demonstration laps with many Ex pro Mx & Speedway stars already confirmed, including Former British champion Greg Hanson, former British champion and GP winner Danish legend Mr Brian Jørgensen, and former Speedway stars Chris Louis and Alun Rossiter.
Former BSMA chairman and legend Mr Trevor Attfield will be on the commentary, and he will share duties over the weekend with another BSMA legend, Steve Liddington’s dad John.
Also at the event will be a beer tent and music, catering, burgers, doughnuts, sweets vans, spares vans, possible tyre truck, and Speedway and Mx memorabilia on display including bikes and so on.
The event will also be honouring special people’s memories in each group, with 6 out of 9 dedications confirmed.
