MRS back new Steer Sherco team for 2021!
Steer Commercials CEO Tim Reynolds has had a very long standing relationship with MRS going back to the early days of Graham Jarvis’s enduro career. He then went on to sponsor Michael Brown and Lee Sampson who were both part of the MRS trials team. Since that time Tim has been one of MRS’s most loyal sponsors/riders and bought his first enduro bike back in 2012, a 3.0 4T, the bench mark Sherco enduro bike of the time.
It would be difficult to find a more enthusiastic, loyal person who really does want to put something back into the sport and he has gone one stage further now by launching his six man team of the future. This year he has sponsored Joe Deakin who had a fantastic year achieving third overall in the British Extreme Championship.
This team consists of Joe Deakin (2.5 2T), Richard Moorhouse (2.5 2T), Lee (Crash) Sampson 3.0 2T, Will Cawte (1.25 Sherco), Jason Hurst 3.0 2T, and Tom Slater 1.25 2T. They intend to ride all the British Extreme Championship and as many enduro events as possible throughout the year. They will also be attending next year’s Ertzberg Rodeo in Austria and if all goes to plan they intend to ride as many of the World Extreme events as possible.
MRS want to say a personal thanks to Tim for not only choosing Sherco as his brand of choice for this new venture but for all the support he has given to us for so many years. Here’s to 2021, let’s hope it’s a great one for all the team.
Tim Reynolds – Steer Commercials “I wanted to take a step back from competitive racing myself, but still wanted to be involved with the sport and support riders who are not only already at the top of their game but also those younger riders just starting out on their journey.
By having a mixed age and ability group I am hoping the more experienced ones will help and guide the less experienced ones through and they will learn new skills from each other.
We are delighted to gain the sponsorship from Malcolm Rathmell Sport with Sherco and the other brands they represent. We have also received sponsorship from ACE Suspension for the season and we’re extremely grateful to both parties.
The aim is to compete in all the British Extreme Enduro’s in 2021 and to also compete regularly at Raw, Fast Eddy, WOR and Edge Events.
Although the team is based in Sheffield, it will get together regularly for training sessions both in the UK and abroad, as Redline Trackdays run by Dean Pearce has offered training schools in Portugal for all of the riders next year.
I’m really looking forward to working with these lads in 2021 as they are all keen and committed riders and each and every one of them will bring something dynamic to the team.”
