After the rollercoaster of 2020 we’re as eager as you all are to get back to our normal racing schedule, and we’re thrilled to have received so many entries from riders old and new – plus there are a couple of special guests joining us for Round 1.
Due to current COVID-19 restrictions, unfortunately we can’t allow any guests or spectators from outside your household at Round 1 so please could all of our riders respectfully adhere to this so we can focus on getting back to racing. All attendees are also required to wear face masks at all times within the arena and car park, and also ‘Check In’ on the NHS COVID-19 app upon arrival.
Here’s everything else you need to know when getting ready for our opening round.
Entries are now closed for the Nationals and Hooligans Round 1
The entries for Round 1 came in fast and we’ve already closed them ahead of the race. However, there’s still plenty of time to remind yourself of our rules and regulations including the Code of Practice implemented by our governing body, NORA 92, and our current COVID-19 safety protocols.
The weekend comprises of Round 1 of our Nationals championship, and Rounds 1 and 2 of our Hooligan championship.
We’re welcoming a couple of special guests for Round 1
Joining us at King’s Lynn are two exciting guests who will certainly make the racing even more interesting. First up is Tim Neave, British Superbikes Superstock 1000 Championship racer who is returning to the dirt track to race in our Nationals Pro class.
Joining him is another British Superbikes racer who we’re sure you’re familiar with; Peter Hickman is swapping tarmac for dirt and will be fantastic to watch on the oval. We’re sure you’ll give both of our guest riders a warm welcome and enjoy a really memorable start to the long-awaited 2021 season.
Over in our Hooligans class, this will be ‘Greenfield’ George Pickering’s inaugural race not only in the class itself, but as part of the Indian Motorcycles team. He joins teammate Leah Tokelove, also on an S&S-prepared Scout FTR1200H, and we can’t wait to see how George takes to his new challenge in dirt track racing.
About the track at Adrian Flux Arena
The track at the Adrian Flux Arena is longer than the average UK short track, and has a consistent surface when it’s kept well-prepped by the team, although the shale surface does tend to groove up after a few heats.
