King of the Castle Twinshock Motocross date change!

The much-loved King of the Castle Twinshock Motocross which takes place at the Legendary Farleigh Castle venue has been postponed from its original date of the 5th and 6th July, but the good news is that a new date of the 8th and 9th of August has been confirmed.

A statement by organiser Darren Hudson said…

“Reference to the event on the 5/6 July we feel that under current government guidelines it will be impossible to run the event how Farleigh should be, so after talks with the land owner we have decided to postpone the event until the 8/9 of august,
I know a lot of riders will be disappointed its not running in July but we feel the safety and health of our onsite staff, Medics first aid, marshals, and riders is paramount, not to mention the good will to the locals that live close to the track, and hope the August date will make up for the disappointment.

According to Boris and some governing bodys competition motocross is kicking off on the 1 July but with all the regulations they are putting in place ie
•limited number of riders
•no camping
•no 2 day events
•rider and one other only allowed in
•no beer tent or entertainment
•no food vans
•no spectators
I personally cant see this working for us at Farleigh in July, but hope the restrictions will be relaxed in time for the August date, also it should be ok for our international riders to travel in August, if anything goes tits up with the August date we do have a plan B and we will keep you all updated of any changes closer to the date,

Thanks Darren Hudson”
