In the deep end! Core Offroad 4 Hour Ironman Enduro – Entries Now Open

by adminJanuary 8, 2019

Here we go again, the start of another exciting season on the bikes for Core Offroad, and as always they are kicking off by chucking you in at the deep-end with their 4 hour iron man or 2 man team Hare and Hounds at the fabulous Ashcombe woods on the 17th Feb 2019.

This venue is awesome and can run in any weather partly due to the hard standing parking which helps a lot.

It offers tight single track, steep climbs, wicked drops, stream beds, fire breaks, logs and ditches to test the rider and bikes durability.

Classes this year will mirror the South West Enduro championship to show continuity across all rounds, although this event is stand alone and doesn’t count towards either the SW championship or our own (details of this will be released soon).

Classes are: Championship, Expert, Expert over 40, Clubman e1, Clubman e2, Clubman e3, Clubman over 40, Beginner/Novice.

Team riders need to enter the class of the fastest rider ie an expert and clubman riding together go in experts.

If riding an over 40’s class both riders need to be over 40 on day of race.

Clubman team riders need to enter the class that relates to the biggest bike of the two. eg Rider 1 has a 250 4T, & Rider 2 has a 300 2T, then correct class to enter would be E3)

PLEASE NOTE :- If you enter in advance, you need to make payment via the paypal link. Entries that have not paid will be deleted. The reason for this is that at our last event we had 22 riders who pre entered, didn’t pay, and then decided not to turn up on the day as the weather forecast was not good (as it turned out, it was fine and the forecast was wrong – again!). This meant that 22 riders on our waiting list were unable to ride when they could have done. It’s not fair on other riders to enter and then just not show up without letting us know. Therefore we have decided that the fairest way is to say “No payment = No entry”

You can race solo for the four hours for £45.00 or as part of a two man team for £70.00.

ACU and IOPD licences are accepted or a day licence can be purchased for £10 per rider.

Transponders from Track times are included in the price, 1 per solo/team. Most of you by now will have your own cage but if not you can buy these in the day for £10 from Track times, once you have done this it is yours to keep and use at all events using WEER Timing.

Due to the huge response the club have had lately they have had to cap event entries on a few occasions and the season opener is always very popular, so we urge you to get pre entered to avoid disappointment.
