Former Champions Eli Meadows & Phil Thomas return to FGA action this weekend as Minsterley Motor Club Host Round 8 of the 2019 championship at their new venue next to Shawbury Motocross.

Meadows, who has concentrated on the intermediate youth category in 2019 returns to the Junior class in FGA in which he clinched the title in 2018. The Junior class has strengthened in numbers this year as Meadows will be joined by 6 others. Good Godden! 2019 International Lincolnshire Poacher Grasstrack – Race Report and Results
The 2019 International Lincolnshire Poacher Grasstrack incorporated the FIME European Veteran Longtrack Series, showcasing some of the best vets in Europe. Looks like our British boys gave them a bit of a pasting though!

Upright Grasstrack is very strong in Britain, and this was a good way of us showcasing that. Tim Curnock won the 2 valve event, and Bob Dolman took the 4 valve. The final produced a brilliant race for second between two more Brits, Mike Dowling and Mark Taylor. In fairness, this sort of Upright action happens every week in the UK!

Wajtknecht Called up to World Long Track Championship
Following being newly crown European Champion Zach Wajtknecht has been called into the World Long Track Championship. After a break of two months the FIM Long Track World Championship resumes with Final 4 on the 520m track in Morizes where the leading riders will have an opportunity to build on their points total in the run in to the end of the series.

The Monster 1000cc Sidecars are Heading to Somerset This Friday – Preview
The awesome 1000cc Sidecars are returning to Somerset on Friday for the final round of the 2019 ACU British Sidecar Speedway Championships.

Leading the way going into the final is former champion Mark Cossar with passenger Gareth Williams. They hold a slender two-point lead over Mick Cave/Bradley Steer with Will Penfold/Ricky Pay a further two points in arrears. Last season’s champions Paul Whitelam/Alan Elliott will be looking for a good night after failing to make the A-Final at the last round. Team GB Confirmed for FIM Long Track of Nations
The ACU Track Racing Committee are pleased to announce that the four riders have been selected for the FIM Long Track of Nations. Following the announcement earlier this week that Paul Hurry has been appointed Team Manager, he has been working hard to select a team ready for the event in Germany.

With the event due to take place in just two weeks’ time Paul has been busy make his final selection for the event. The team selection is as follows, Chris Harris, Zach Wajtknecht, Edward Kennett and Paul Cooper, with Kennett being given the Captains armband for the event.

Paul Hurry Appointed Team Manager for FIM Long Track of Nations
The ACU Track Racing Committee are pleased to announce, following the recent meeting at the ACU Head Office, that Paul Hurry has been appointed as the new Team Manager for Team GB at the forthcoming FIM Long Track of Nations.
With the newly rebranded World championship event due to take place on the 14th September at Vechta in Germany, Paul has already begun liaising with potential team members to compete as part of Team GB.
As a competitor, Paul has a vast amount of experience in both the World Long Track and European Grass Track championships, and only two weeks ago became the 2019 FIME Vice European Grass Track champion, and runner up to fellow ACU rider Zach [...]
Hall’s Full House! Formula Grasstrack Championships Round 7 – Race Report and Results
Sam Hall and Liam Ashcroft would race their way to 7 ride maximums at Whitchurch Mcc’s 4th Formula Grasstrack meeting of 2019. The Hampton hall track was to be slightly bigger than last time out, making racing faster throughout all classes.

Ollie Binns made a welcome return to the FGA after missing the last round. Binns would make hard work of it by having a non-finish in his opening ride leaving Wolverhampton’s Harry Fletcher to take victory ahead of Joe Crewe. European Sidecar Grasstrack Championships Finale- Race Report
The Final Final round of the European Sidecar Championship took place at Eenrum, in the Netherlands.
The Eenrum club worked hard during Saturday evening to ensure that despite the wet weather in the North of Holland, they would have a track ready for racing the following day.
With the morning practice sessions duly completed, everyone was focused on a mouth-watering event during the afternoon.
With the tapes rising in heat 1, Aaron Vale flipped in the first corner and Raphael San Millan collided with Oliver Möller, so the race was red flagged and the riders needing medical attention.
