Festival of Legends & Toughsheet National Twinshock Finale – Preview and Event info

It’s a whoppa of the highest order when it comes to Motocross nostalgia this weekend, as the Culham course in Oxfordshire plays host to the Festival of Legends and the finale of the Toughsheet National Twinshock Motocross Championship on Sunday 25th and Monday 26th August.

The Cumbria Twinshock club have once again gathered a stellar line up of Motocross legends with latest guest to sign up being former British Championship rider Dave Campbell, who will be trying his big Honda 500 out in the Evo class of the Twinshock racing which runs over the Sunday and Monday.

While the racing runs on both days, the Legends Day is Monday with the fantastic Jack Burnicle as the MC interviewing the likes of confirmed guests including former World & British Champion Neil Hudson, British Champions Bryan Goss and Dave Watson. Former Top 35/40 riders include  Rob Andrews, Willie Burgess, Alan Clarke, Roger Garrett, Dave Grant, Rob Hooper, Russ Jarman, Barry Johnson, Perry Leask, Les Lloyd, John May, Ivan Miller, Andy Nurden. Plus, AMCA Champions Alan Hambridge, Andy Holland, Shane Holmes, Barry Johnson, Keith Ree, Brendan Rowett and not forgetting Ken Nurden, Terry Silvester, Mike Barnes, Wayne Le Marquand and Martin Perrett.

Interviews will be after first block of racing on Monday, followed by the parade laps.

Late entries in all Twinshock, Evo, Super Evos and Vets classes are still available, so you can call Chloe after 6pm on 07887-407590 / 01229-463805, with all riders receiving commemorative medals, with superb picture plaque trophies for first five in all classes.

Camping is available from Friday until Tuesday, VIP Reception area and Marquee will be full of pictures and memorabilia with refreshments for our guests. The marquee and bar will be open Saturday and Sunday night.
