Destination Greenfield! Indian Motorcycles Flat Track Nationals Round 2 – Preview

The weather may not have been on our side for Round 1 of the 2021 DTRA season, but we’re confident we’ll more than makeup for it at Round 2, taking place on the mighty Greenfield Dirt Track in Lincolnshire on Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th June.

This round will include all classes, including the first round of our brand new Electric class which is open to non-DTRA riders. We’re starting out simple: if your bike is electric, you’re in, so don’t miss your chance to be a part of this exciting new class.

We’re making two visits to Greenfield this year, the first of which will be to race on the oval. For those of you that are new to the DTRA and yet to visit Greenfield, it’s the UK’s the UK’s only purpose-built dirt track facility, created by Hooligan rider and Indian Motorcycle team member George Pickering. Along with his family, George kindly hosts us every season, and his team pulls out all the stops to ensure that the track is kept fully prepped over the weekend of our meetings at Greenfield. It’s a truly special place and we can’t wait to head back.

Due to current COVID-19 restrictions, unfortunately we’re still unable to allow any guests or spectators from outside your household at our events so please could all of our riders respectfully adhere to this so we can focus on the racing. All attendees are also required to wear face masks at all times within the arena, car park and camping areas, and also ‘Check In’ on the NHS COVID-19 app upon arrival.

About the oval at Greenfield Dirt Track

The oval track at Greenfield Dirt Track consists of hard-packed, rich Lincolnshire clay, which when worked in the right way by the track team, attains a nice and wide ‘blue groove’ over the course of the day. The grippy, consistent groove makes for fast, close racing, and is why this track is so favoured by our riders.
