Curnock has taken 9 meeting victories over the season. And when he hasn’t won, he’s almost always been in the top 3. He has enjoyed some tremendous battles with the likes of Bob Dolman, Darren Phillips and Mike Dowling across the country, much to the enjoyment of onlookers.
The Upright class continues to be one of the most consistently competitive classes in Grasstrack, but Curnock still manages to rise above the others. He also won the British Pre 75 Championships in 2019, so it has certainly been a fine season for the Worcestershire racer.
Consistent Upright racer Nigel Coates picked up an injury mid-season, but still managed to finish as runner-up to Curnock. He too has never been out of the top 3 in the National Gradings List in the last 3 years.
52 competitors have made the list this year- an increase of 12 from 2018.
