Brad Freeman dominates Italian Enduro Championship at the weekend!
On Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th April 2021 the fourth and fifth round of the Assoluti d’Italia di Enduro took place in Piediluco, near Terni.
The Motoclub Racing Terni organized an excellent race with three challenging and fast special tests. A very technical Extreme Test, a fast Cross Test and an Enduro Test lasting about six minutes.
The Beta Factory Enduro Team was present in the small town of Terni, located a few kilometres from the Marmore Falls, with only the official rider Brad Freeman while Steve Holcombe remained in England to treat his injured hand. The Enduro GP and E2 class world champion will be present in Fabriano, the next round of the top Italian enduro championship.
On Saturday, Brad Freeman had a cautious start in the first two special tests in order to check the terrain, which was slippery and harsh. He then made a great performance, winning 8 tests out of 12 riding his Beta RR 300 2T. He managed to win both the Foreigners and Overall categories at the end of Day 1.
On the second day of the race, Brad Freeman started off on the right foot recording some best overall times. Unfortunately, a small mistake in the last special test, the Enduro Test, compromised the race. He ranked third, a result that didn’t completely satisfy him. Despite the third place on Day 2, Brad Freeman is anyway the winner of the weekend of Piediluco.
Congratulations to Gianluca Martini, winner of the 300 class thanks to two splendid victories during the day.
The next round of the Assoluti d’Italia di Enduro will take place on the 16th of May in Fabriano, Italy.
“I’m happy with the result obtained during the weekend of the Assoluti d’Italia Enduro. After the race in Custonaci we needed a turnaround and in Piediluco I think it came. Now we still have some time and races here in Italy before thinking about the 2021 World Championship.”
