With both MX1 and MX2 classes heading out together for qualifying, it was anyone’s game as John Adamson and Liam Knight started to lay down some laps in the scorching heat.
As John knuckled down to take Pole Position in qualifying in MX2, this gave him second gate pick as headed out for the first Pro moto of the day, as MX1 teammate Liam Knight headed out third just behind him.
The first Pro Moto of the day was an absolute stormer for the Scotsman, as he cleaned up and grabbed a race win in the MX2 class with a huge thirty-five-second lead ahead of second-place man Michael Ellis.
Liam continued to grab a decent third in the Pro MX1 pack, in the dusty and red hot conditions.
Leading into Pro moto two, this saw John once again take the race win in the MX2 class with a solid twenty-second lead ahead of Lewis Hall. Liam also came home with another third in the MX1 class, which meant a podium finish for both our team riders.
“It was a good weekend for me,‘ said John. “I nearly poled qualifying out of everyone but I was first in my group. I extended the championship lead so I’m super happy.”
The team head to Canada Heights this weekend for the Michelin MX Nationals powered by Milwaukee in the Fastest 40 class.
