2020 Indian Motorcycles Flat Track Nationals dates announced!

The Dirt Track Riders Association has announced the full 2020 Indian Motorcycles Flat Track Nationals schedule as well as some new classes.

The 2020 UK Dirt Track Championships will take place over 7 rounds. Rain outs will not be rescheduled until year-end (if possible). Each rider’s best 6 results will count towards their championship result. In the case where it is not possible to run more than 5 rounds all 5 rounds will count as the championship result.

The DTRA hooligan championship will be contested over 5 rounds for the Hooligan riders all round will count.

Round 1 – Rye House – April 18th – 19th
Round 2 – MCN Festival Peterborough May 16th-17th
Round 3 – Greenfield TT June 6th-7th
Round 4 and Round 5 – Ammanford 1/2 Mile July 18th – 19th
Round 6 – Redcar Speedway – 8th-9th August
Round 7 Sept – Eastbourne Speedway Sept 12th -13th

Classes for 2020…

Flat Track Rookie Class
• For new riders and riders that are not confident in other classes.
• All machines must comply with the NORA Flat Track Regulations for the Adult Solo
Classes.
• All machines must use Dunlop DT tyres.
• All riders must be aged 15 or over on 01 January in that competitive season
• The top 3 riders in each season will be removed from the rookies and will be
promoted to the Adult Inter Class for the following season
• Machine Type: 2 stroke – 125cc to 500cc, 4 stroke – 250cc to unlimited

Flat Track Adult Intermediate Class
• All machines must comply with the NORA Flat Track Regulations for the Adult Solo
Classes.
• All machines must use Dunlop DT tyres.
• All riders must be aged 15 or over on 01 January in that competitive season
• The top three riders of the Championship will be awarded a National Number the
following season and will be promoted to the Pro Class for the following season
• Machine Type: 2 stroke – 125cc to 500cc, 4 stroke – 250cc to unlimited
• The top 3 riders in each season will be removed from the Adult Inter Class and will
be promoted to the Pro Class for the following season

Flat Track Pro Class
• All machines must comply with the NORA Flat Track Regulations for the Adult Solo
Classes.
• All machines must use Dunlop DT tyres.
• For all riders holding National Plates from the previous season and those awarded
them at the end of the previous season as well as any riders with International
experience in another Motorcycle Sport.
• All riders must be aged 15 or over on 01 January in that competitive season
• All machines must comply with the NORA Flattrack Regulations for the Adult Solo
Classes
• 2 stroke – 125cc to 500cc, 4 stroke – 250cc to unlimited

Hooligan Class
The idea is simple, racing heavy, big capacity road bike bruisers on tight dirt tracks. These
production machines must have two-cylinders or more, and have their original frame and be
produced post 1980 (those bikes produced pre 1980 should look for another DTRA class to
race in). The rules are minimal and allow racers to create good-looking and purposeful
customs that are more suitable for racing
• Post1980
• 750cc Plus
• Stock main Frame (sub-frame may be modified but not completely removed or
replaced)
• No Knobblies or trials/speedway tyres
• No Front Brake
• Proper racing clothing and equipment as per NORA Regs

Twins Class
A class for racing modified 750cc big twins, race bikes that will not fit the regs of the
Hooligan class.
• 750cc Plus
• No Knobblies or trials/speedway tyres
• No Front Brake
• Proper racing clothing and equipment as per NORA Regs

Sportax Thunderbike Class
• All machines must comply with the NORA Flat Track Regulations for the Adult Solo
Classes and the Thunderbike Engine Specification below
• All machines must use Dunlop DT tyres.
• All riders must be aged 15 or over on 01 January in that competitive season
• The top three riders of the Championship will be awarded a National Number the
following season
• 2 stroke, multi-cylinder machines – 500cc to unlimited,
• Twin Parallel, four stroke machines – 500cc to unlimited,
• Singles, four stroke – 600cc to unlimited,
• V-twins and multi-cylinder four strokes – 600cc to unlimited
• Riders on equipment that does not meet the above specification but deemed suitable
may also ride in the class but will not be eligible for championship points.

Sideburn Vintage Class (Two Stroke and Four Stroke)
• All machines must comply with the NORA Flat Track Regulations for the Adult Solo
• Vintage class machines will be pre-approved for entry to this class by the DTRA to
ensure that the spirit of the class is adhered to.
• The general rule is Pre 75, aircooled, twin shock with no Japanese overhead cam
bikes allowed.
• All riders must be aged 15 or over on 01 January in that competitive season
• Under some (pre agreed) special circumstances these bikes may be exempt the
Controlled Tyre Rule.
• End of season results will be split between two stroke and four stroke

Champions Flat Track school Mini Bike Stock Class
• All machines must comply with NORA Flattrack Regulations for the Minibike Flattrack
Classes
• All riders must be aged 15 or over on 01 January in that competitive season.
• Race Day Points will be awarded to each entrant depending on their finishing
position in the Final of each race meeting.
Class is open to, CRF100,CRF125,DRZ125,TTR 125 only
All Class riders must run STD Bikes, No Engine Mods, No Exhaust Mods,No air box
Mods or Carburettor, Can Change Handle Bars and Sprocket sizes only.
Trophies for every round, The championship winner will win free years riding at the
Champions Flat Track School,2nd Free Level 2 course, 3rd £100 pound Voucher.
Minibike Modified Class
• All machines must comply with NORA Flattrack Regulations for the Minibike Flattrack
Classes
• All riders must be aged 15 or over on 01 January in that competitive season.
• Race Day Points will be awarded to each entrant depending on their finishing
position in the Final of each race meeting.
• All other minibikes below 160cc that meet NORA minibike regs

Youth Junior Flattrack Class
• For riders aged 7-11 yrs old on the 1st January in that competitive season
• Machines must comply with the technical regulations for the Junior/Inter/Youth DTRA
Classes and the general NORA Flattrack Regulations

Youth Inter Flattrack Class
• For riders aged 10- 15 yrs old on the 1st January in that competitive season
• Machines must comply with the technical regulations for the Junior/Inter/Youth DTRA
Classes and the general NORA Flattrack Regulations
Youth Senior Flattrack Class
• For riders 14 – 17 yrs old on the 1st January in that competitive season
• Machines must comply with the technical regulations for the Junior/Inter/Youth DTRA
Classes and the general NORA Flattrack Regulations
