Yorkley bar 2. Severn Valley Motocross Club Winter Series Round 2 – Race Report & Results

The Severn Valley Youth Motocross club ploughed into the 2nd round of their winter series at Yorkley with a good

Freddie Bartlett dominated the Juniors

entry in all groups.

Starting with the smallest racers, the Auto’s it was a supreme performance for Logan Gardner with 3 races wins from his three races, being followed home on each occasion in second by Olly Waters, with Ollie Truman in third. A special mention for Kian Harper who had his best ride ever in his first season racing, even running inside the top 5 for some time.

Freddie Gardiner won all the Junior races in fine form but had to battle from the back each time as he hasn’t quite

mastered the clutch yet, but when he does this young lad is going to take some catching. Shane Jones rode well for 2nd overall with Ollie Bubb nabbing the final podium position on third.

There were three different race winner’s in the Small Wheel 85 class.  Tom Butler claimed the overall victory having won the first race and following it with two good 2nd place finishes. Adam Thomas was second overall and took the race two win, whilst saving the best to last and the third race chequered flag was Dylan Williams who also came third overall.

In the Big Wheel 85’s there was some stand our performances.  Whilst Billy Duke showed his speed and style with

three race wins, Jak Taylor freshly up into the Big Wheel had a good showing and lead the pack at times and finished a very good 2nd overall. Ollie Coleman kept it consistent to finish in third overall while Ria Truman showed the boys that the girls can ride bikes quick too in the Big Wheel class.

Jayden Murphy threw away a possible maximum of wins after tucking the front end in the first race of the Seniors, but he recovered well to win his remaining two races to claim the overall.  Taking advantage of Murphy’s race one spill was Dean Palmer who enjoyed winning the opener on his way to second overall ahead of Luke Woolgrove in third.

In the Adult race it was Daniel Preston who took a trio of race wins to a faultless overall win with John Mckensie in 2nd and Liam Deegan in third.   A special mention for Ieauan Harris who rode his dads 500 Honda and well, keeping it towards the front end of the pack
