The brainchild of former Youth Motocrosser and industry expert Mark Fereday, the Academy is set for August 20th to the 24th at Malvern in Worcestershire and incorporates a mixture of sessions to develop the on and off track skills of participants as Fereday looks to fill in the missing skill gaps which he believes is holding back the future British stars of tomorrow. Riders from 13 years of age up can take part with all abilities welcome.

Mark explains to us about his vision for the course saying “I got to a decent level as a Youth rider myself but it didn’t go anywhere. I didn’t train properly and didn’t listen and that’s where my career ended, and you look back and think there must be so many riders out there who waste their ability, so I thought lets go out there and do something to help them.

“There are so many riders out there with untapped potential that need something extra, and if we can get them to look at themselves and the sport in a different way who knows where the sport could take them.

“We are bringing in a team of Experts coming in all week, covering all of the different zones where I feel a rider could benefit. It’s all done in a week on a residential basis where the basic’s are learnt so that the riders go away with a set plan to continue their racing development both on and off the track”.

The area’s which Mark talks about, and where the Expert’s will be introduced include a full 3 day Physical training programme by a fully qualified and professional Personal Trainer, Social Media and Sponsorship training, mind preparation, mechanical talks and training, as well as a Question and Answers session with some of the top British riders which rounds out off track element of the course, before everyone heads to the Apex Motopark on the final day where they can put their weeks learning into practice on the track.

The course includes, Bed, breakfast, lunch, evening meal and drinks, with the food provided being that of which is recommended by the trained Nutritionist the riders will be advised by.

The full 5 days will be £450 including all accommodation, food, educational presentations and meetings, and also includes track & coach hire for Apex MX. This equates to £90 per day
