SOME BAD NEWS…..
Over 6 weeks ago WOR announced an unprecedented £10,000 pound prize pot giveaway, spread amongst the classes of the series, with the lion’s share of £5000 going to the winning Expert rider after the 9 rounds of the series… Obviously £5000 was not enough as a sadly a very poor turn out of support from Expert Riders pledged their £5 ..Yes just £5 ..to commit their name to the series and register to win the Huge Money ..WOR stated clearly that Feb18th 2018 would be the cut-off date for these Experts to register online and pay their £5 quids ..and if at least 15 names where not down ..then no way will £5k be getting given away…SADLY only 5 riders could be bothered to do this… These 5 names Were Jon Hunt, Tim Forman, Connor Bolsover, Dan Culkin and Steve Hughes …WOR would like to wish them a massive thankyou and are sorry that the £5k is no longer on offer..Their £5’s have all been refunded…
SOME BRILLIANT NEWS..
However, it’s not all doom and gloom as still, an unprecedented prize fund of £6000, will still be given away in the PNHS with each class winner taking £1000 EACH for the series class win after the 9 rounds. No where else in the UK is this kind of commitment shown as a payback to a championship of loyal riders by giving back to the sport in spades and raising the profile too!!
(WOR will invest the left over funds from the £10k to the Extremism series …More on that soon)…
So all is looking good to kick off the series ….
The Championship will run over 9 rounds including a wildcard event and the winner will be the riders with the best 8 scores from the 9 events.
All the events are set on fantastic venues and tracks that are the heart and spirit of Hare Scrambles in the UK. Never running on anything but a course worthy of having the WOR stamp on it and with slick, neat organisation along with arguably the best and safest Marshals team in the country, this series is set to stand out and be a cracker this coming spring and summer.
There is no catch and there is no fiction here, the prize money is there and waiting, it is real, and ANY rider can win it. It’s a genuine prize from Steve Ireland and the WOR events team.
Classes for the PNHS are as follows:
