Jason goes Wild at Clatter. WOR EVENTS NATIONAL QUAD HARE SCRAMBLES Round 6 – Race Report and Results

by adminAugust 15, 2017

Jason Wildman continues to dominate the 2017 WOR National Hare Scrambles for quads on his big Polaris Scrambler 1000cc as the series cruised past the 6th round point last weekend at WOR Events fantastic mountain top venue at Clatter in Mid Wales. Leading from start to finish, Wildman even had time to fix two punctures and refuel whilst still retaining the lead. The 10-mile lap of pure Enduro terrain was eaten up effortlessly as Wildman seemed to float the big machine over the bogs and crests of the moorlands. At the end of 2 and a half hours racing Wildman took a 4.5-minute advantage over Tom Jones in a solid Runner Up position in the 4×4 Expert class with both riders completing 8 laps each.

The 2WD Experts was topped by Ben Roberts on his 450 Honda as he completed 7 laps and had a 1.20 sec advantage over KTM mounted Tudor Roberts whom himself rode well to complete the 2 .5hr race and secure 7 circuits of the huge track to his credit. The top 3 in the 2WD Clubman class had a real ding dong with each other and where never far apart for the entire race duration.

Top award on the day in the Clubman 2wd class went to Alex Trowler as he eventually finished a minute and a half ahead of Runner Up, Nigel Morris and the hard Charging Youngster, Cleo Percival, at last having some luck and finishing the race on the podium a further 2 minutes adrift of Morris. All 3 riders completing 7 laps each.

Graham Guy has made the 4×4 Clubman class his own this year on his CAN-Am and round 6 was no different, seemingly cruising to a 3-minute advantage over Runner Up, Derek Burns (Can-Am) and Dean Foster (Can-Am) in 3rd spot. All 3 pilots completing 8 laps each.

The series has two rounds to go now with Round 7 at a brand new venue in Ludlow ON Sept 9th and then the final, Double point special the week later on Sat 16th September at Firbank in the Lake District. WOR Events would as always like to thank the sponsors, staff, medics and above all the riders for supporting the series and making the events.
