Quad Stunt man Paul Hannam set to hit Weston this weekend!
Superstar quad racer turned stunt man, Paul Hannam heads for the world famous beach race on October 20th /21st not only to race the famous course but to entertain the crowds with some of his jaw dropping stunts.
Report by Neil Martin
Paul from Barnstaple in Devon started racing quads back in 2006, and at Weston that very year he took his Honda 400ex to a very impressive 44th place out of 500 quads.
So the seed was planted, and since then he’s gone on to finish 4th four times, three of them in a row. Since 2010 Paul has finished in the top 10 6 times. That top 3 is not far away for Paul.
Also Paul is a former South West Quad Enduro champion and a top finisher in the British Quad Enduro Championship in 2011, and has enjoyed full sponsorship from Chris Keitch ATVS and is very grateful for their support.
Paul has always wanted to be a stunt man, and since the international stunt man Matt (The Kangaroo Kid) Coulter gave him his chance, Paul has been entertaining the crowds. Since 2015 he has performed at the likes of the Royal Welsh Show, the Royal Cornwall Show, and Princess Anne’s Catcombe Park where Captain Mark Phillips took part in a wheelie with the Kangaroo Kid.
Paul has been doing some mega jumps over monster truck’s, fire engines, countless cars and vans and the odd 30 ton digger.
Paul is looking to take on some Guinness World Record attempts in 2019, so stay tuned for that one.
So keep an eye out for Paul over the weekend stop and say hello and get his autograph
Good luck for the future and go get a top finish at Weston
