Full of Easton promise! West Cumbria MXC Club Championships Round 3 – Race Report & Results

The third round of the 2018 West Cumbria Club championship was held at the perfectly prepped Dean Moor circuit and with rain overnight the track was slippy to start and got good towards the end of the day.

First up as always was the Auto class and Finley Easton was the man on form taking 3 wins from 3 starts from second placed Aaron Dodd. Joshua Bintcliffe finished the day in third.

In the Junior 65 category Joe Dakin took home two wins and a second for the overall honours from race one winner Ebony Brown. Ashton Crossley took home the third place trophy.

Robbie Park took the Small Wheel 85 honours with a 2-1-1 scorecard ahead of first race winner Bobby Jak Ennis who has to settle for second overall. Finley Harkness stood on the lower step of the rostrum.

Joe Dakin took the Junior 65 win!

It was Oliver Barr who was the maximum man in the Big Wheel 85 class after dominating the day. Taylor Roberts took home second and Charlie Henderson rounded off the top three in third.

Next up were the Youth Open riders and Dylan Hodgson recovered from his first race third to take the remaining two races to give him the honours from Adam Slavin who had to settle for second this time around. Third overall went to Frazer Hansen.

In the Adult C class there was 3 different race winners but Mark Blacklock was most consistent with 1-2-2 results from Stephen Humphries in second and Steven Parker took home third.

Anthony Pullin took a hat trick of Adult B wins on his 125 KTM after dominating the day. Kev Brown took the runner up position just one point ahead of Andy Craig.

It was Jamie Law that took the Adult A overall in convincing fashion on his Yamaha from Suzuki mounted Frazer Clark. Chris Blacklock rounded off the podium in third.

Sunday we were greeted with some bright blue skies after rain overnight making the track wet to begin with but some good lines by the end of the day making for good racing.

First up once again were the Auto pilots and Finley Easton made it a double maximum as he took the honours on day two ahead of Joshua Bintcliffe who took second by just two points from Wilfie Reed.

Next up were the Junior 65 riders and Joe Dakin repeated Saturday’s score with two wins and a second for the top honours ahead of race one winner Ebony Brown. Zac Pearson took the third place trophy.

In the Small Wheel 85 category Robbie Park took home a hat trick of wins from friend and rival Bobby Jak Ennis who had to settle for runner up spot. The third step of the rostrum went to Liam Johnston.

It was Oliver Barr that made it a 100% record of wins in the Big Wheel 85 class as he dominated day two. Jack Murray took home second and third went to Charlie Henderson after some hard battles.

Dylan Hodgson was another man to repeat his Saturday results as he took the Youth Open overall with a 3-1-1 scorecard. Adam Slavin out up a strong fight but a crash in the final encounter put pay to his effort and so had to settle for second on the day. Robbie Saville rounded off the top three in third.

Next were the Adult C class and Ryan Metcalfe had two second places split with a second race win to give him the overall victory from Stephen Humphries second and Lewis McHale took third.

In the Adult B category Anthony Pullin took home the overall win with a 1-2-1 card from race two winner Dale O’Connor. Sam Taylforth stood on the lower step of the podium.

Jamie Law continued his 100% win record for the year in the Adult A class as he took another top spot overall. Graham Riley finished the day runner up and Frazer Clark took third.
