The build up starts here – Minibike World Championships … Classes and how to enter…

There is only 4 weeks to go until the UK hosts the biggest Minibike event on the planet and we are proud to be bringing you all of the pre event build up, racer interviews, entry info…..

First up lets let you know how you can get involved in this epic event as a racer:

I wanna race! 

Great news…. there is sure to a class that suits you so here they are with the relevant bike spec’s…

Minibike Pro – 160cc –  15 years plus   **due to demand an extra race has been added**
 – Minibike open cradle frame, 4stroke, horizontal engine upto 160cc.
– Max wheel size 14″ front 12″ rear.
– Axle to Axle measurement must not exceed 1210mm and maximum height Floor/Seat 840mm.

MB110 – 110CC –  15 years plus
 – Minibike open cradle frame, 4stroke, horizontal engine upto 112cc, Semi Auto (no Manual Clutch) 20mm Carburettor, 2 valve only, Aframe Rear Swing Arm (none Mx Type).
– Telescopic Conventional Fork (none Inverted).
– Max wheel size 14″ front 12″ rear.
– Axle to Axle measurement must not exceed 1150mm and maximum height Floor/Seat 750mm.

MBM – Masters – 160CC –  35 years – 44 years
 – Minibike open cradle frame, 4stroke, horizontal engine upto 160cc.
– Max wheel size 14″ front 12″ rear.
– Axle to Axle measurement must not exceed 1210mm and maximum height Floor/Seat 840mm.

MBV – Vets – 160CC 45 years+
– Minibike open cradle frame, 4stroke, horizontal engine upto 160cc.
– Max wheel size 14″ front 12″ rear.
– Axle to Axle measurement must not exceed 1210mm and maximum height Floor/Seat 840mm.

MBYS – Youth Senior – 125CC – 12 years – 14 years
 – Minibike open cradle frame, 4stroke, horizontal engine upto 125cc.
– Max wheel size 14″ front and 12″ rear.
– Axle to Axle measurement must not exceed 1210mm and maximum height Floor/Seat 840mm.

MBYJ – Youth Junior – 125CC –  9 years – 11 years

– Minibike open cradle frame, 4stroke, horizontal engine upto 125cc.
– Max wheel size 14″ front and 12″ rear.
– Axle to Axle measurement must not exceed 1210mm and maximum height Floor/Seat 840mm.

MBK – Kids – 50CC – 6 years – 8 years
 – Any 50cc off road bike 2 stroke or 4 stroke, horizontal or vertical engine.
– Max wheel size 14″ front 12″ rear.

The Skinny

Minibike World Championship 2017 is organised and ran by Minibike Champs.

The pinnacle of minibike racing, bringing 360 of the best mini riders from around the world to a super organised and professionally ran event to one of the finest race circuits you could wish for.

The Venue

FatCat Moto Parc is located on the outskirts of Doncaster, England offering superb on site facilities & large enough to host the first ever outdoor Minibike World Championship on the 25th – 26th – 27th August.

The Format

The event will start on Friday the 25th with all riders having lots of track time with practice and qualification sessions, then riders will compete in 5 heat races over the Saturday 26th – Sunday 27th with the highest scoring riders from each of the 8 championship race classes being crowned World Champion.

The Prizes

All race classes will have an array of prizes and holeshot awards to win, and the Pro Championship class will have a big cash prize purse on offer.

Rider entry Fee’s

Adult entry fee – £150
Kids entry fee – £120

All entry fees include 2 guest passes and camping for the weekend. Additional passes can be purchased at the event.

Rider Parking and Camping

Rider specific parking, paddock and camping areas will be specified for all our competitors. Collect your ‘Event Map’ on arrival, or simply print your ‘Event Map’ when you receive your entry confirmation.

The Event Hub

The Event Hub! The place to find out all you need to know about the World Championship Event on Race Days.

The Event Hub will open on Thursday 24th August at 10am ready for rider sign on and transponder allocation. For our international guests, communication won’t be a problem. There will be translators on hand for the whole weekend to ensure there are no language barriers!

All race bikes must be technically inspected. Technical Inspection will take place alongside the Event Hub and will be open from 10am on Thursday 24 August.

Our ‘off track’ medical team will also be available from inside the Event Hub for both spectators and rider medical needs.

Inside the Event Hub you will also find the live timing screen where you can keep an eye on your favourite riders, or biggest competitors, race times along with a display of each race result.

Spectator info

Adults (16’s and over) – £10 per day (Friday is free for spectators)
Kids (under 16’s with an accompanying adult) – £0

Parking cost – £0 (free of charge!)
Camping cost – £15 per pitch (3 nights camping)

There will be allocated areas for spectator parking and camping.

Gates will be open for spectators from 8:00am on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Catering and on-site facilities

FatCat Moto Parc offers on sight facilities and a food village for all your refreshment needs.

Afterwards the MWC After Party

Event presentation and the ‘MWC After Party’ will take place on Sunday evening following all of the weekends racing antics.

and if that wasn’t enough there will be live commentary throughout the weekend keeping you up to date with all of the on track action.
