Introducing a New Dirt Hub Feature Team … The MotoFamily Electric Racing Team

by adminJanuary 5, 2018

Many people will know Rusty Griffiths from his spell ripping it up in the Minibike Champs where he won an admirer

The Kuberg X Pro that the Team will be using

or two with his all action never say die style and attitude.  For 2018 though Rusty is taking a different approach and has launched the Motofamily Electric Racing team which will take it’s place on the start grid of the new Electric class at the 2018 Minibike Champs.   There is nothing new about running a team but what Rusty is bringing to the table is a chance for youngsters to take part with very little cost and a whole lot of guidance.

Rusty is giving one rider the chance to join the team on a season long basis aboard the crews Kuberg X Pro machines and then other young racers the opportunity to join the team for single meetings during the season.

Speaking about his new venture Rusty is understandably pumped and expands on the Team ethics “My aim for 2018

Rusty in his heyday!

is to give those the opportunity to race or ride without the stress of maintaining their own bikes.  This gives families more of a chance and hopefully a push into a brilliant hobby, at the end of the day we want to take away the pain and grind of racing and just make it pure fun. This idea is to also help with land damage and noise pollution within the country, to offer more safe tracks and opportunities to those not so fortunate”.

No stranger to success on the Minibike Circuit Rusty back in 2014 won both the National Minibike Champs and the Minibike Supercross in a season where he also finished 2nd in the British Champs and 4th in the World Championships so it is in the Minibike sphere he is introducing the team and taking part in the Minibike National, British and World Championships.

“We are looking for riders of any abilities, from 6-11 years old for the Auto class and 11 years old for the Youth minibike class 125cc” continues Rusty, “They can pre book on first come first serve basis for each round with payment made before each event.”

We look forward to following the teams progress throughout the year and reporting back from the events.
Rusty would like to thank all of the team sponsors and his personal sponsors for everything they have done over the years.
