The tremendous circuit was in prime condition but storm conditions in the afternoon made things extremely tricky. The pre event favourites Team USA took the title and every race win with it with their super fast team of Thomas Porter Brown, Chad Weinen and Joel Hetrick but a strong French trio kept it close to the end and finished second.
The performance of the weekend was that of Team Ireland who claimed their first ever Quadcross of Nations podium position with British Championship title contender Mark Mclernon taking two sixth places, whilst Justin Reid had a 5th and 1oth backed up by Michael McAneney with a 13th and 15th.
With a youthful team Team GB were to come 5th behind Holland who were 4th. Teenager Dafydd Davies was caught up in a first bend incident but battled back to ninth, with George Day coming 1oth. Carl Bunce kept it consistent to finish with a 9th and 11th in his races, with Day having mechanical issues in his second race finishing down the order in 25th, whilst Davies ended his day in a Mud drenched 14th.
Overall a creditable performance for Team GB and a fantastic result for Team Ireland.
