Ugley returns to the scene! VMCC Grasstrack – Race Report and Results!
The hard-working people of the VMCC (Grasstrack) once again drew racers back to the famous venue of Ugley (albeit not utilising the entire bowl!) on Sunday. Scorching conditions meant that heat and dust were concerns, but everyone enjoyed their day and some great racing resulted.

It’s great to see the Youth classes being catered for on a circuit which suits the children well. The Cadet class is looking particularly healthy this season. Cooper Rushen held off a challenge from Channel Islander Thomas Vining to ensure he won the class. Oliver Bovingdon’s journey up from the Westcountry was well worthwhile as he took his first meeting win in the Autos class. Sam Norris took an excellent win in the Inters and Cameron Taylor got back to winning ways in the Junior class. Spare a thought for young Vinny Smith. The young Junior rider lifted violently leaving the start in one of his heats. Not deterred, he managed to hold on to the machine and complete his races, only to find that he suffered a fracture shoulder whilst performing the unwitting stunt!
There were plenty of races for the grown-ups too, with lots of classic classes catered for.
