1. It’s pairs racing. Meeting of the year 2017.
It’s racing, but not as we know it! Riders are paired together and score points together. The winners will be the best pairing over the meeting. It makes for unique racing. So much so in fact that you voted it meeting of the year for 2017.

2. Venue of the year
The Frittenden raceway was voted track of the year by Grasstrack Banter members in 2017. The place has served up tremendous racing year after year for so many seasons.

3. There will be new champions!
There are only two pairings defending their 2017 titles. Matt Fumarola/Gareth Williams paired with Paul Whitelam/Alan Elliott to win the 1000cc sidecars last year. And Charley Powell and Mark Baseby won the 500cc solos- and performed a choreographed victory dance on the finish line in celebration!

4. Helmet Colours
The club realised that It is quite tricky to know who is paired with who. So this year each pair will have a consistent helmet colour throughout the meeting.

5. Track Prep
The team at Frittenden work tirelessly on the racing surface. They have lots of access to the venue and make great use of it.

6. Schools Out!
It’s a great place to entertain the kids for the day. And they’ve ordered good weather too!

7. Value For Money
The day will begin at 11am and won’t finish until early evening. There’s set to be 45 races. All for £14 per adult and absolutely free for kids!

8. Club Level 500cc Solos Are Awesome
The Open Pairs is different to the old Best Pairs. It’s no longer a national, meaning that lots more riders enter. And the 500cc solo line up is a who’s who of club level racers. And they don’t muck about! Some of the racing between these amateur riders, particularly at the Sandhurst Bridge Farm venue, has been outstanding. They might not be the fastest lads on the track, but they never fail to entertain.

9. Camping Is Available
What’s better than a whole weekend in the glorious Kentish sunshine?

10. Water
Water has been going into the track every evening since last week and will continue to be watered. The track staff are vastly experienced Grasstrackers and are doing everything to keep dust away in this hot weather.

All details on the poster below. Surely you agree…it is not to be missed! Get your backside trackside this Sunday!
