Evening of Extreme! Rhayader Motorcycle club evening Extreme Enduro – Race Report and Results

A large crowd turn up to see the action and the riders didn’t disappoint with some fast and furious riding none more so than in the pro class which saw world championship regulars Josh Gotts and Dan Mundell lead the first leg followed by Scotland’s Fraser Flockhart and locals Alex Walton and Charlie Evans. Gotts pulled out a lead but as the time ticked away Dan closed the gap with Walton moving into third and closing on second place to be just a couple of second behind Mundell at the finish. The second leg saw Mundell into the lead but Josh was soon pass but Dan kept Josh in sight and was just a second behind him as they crossed the line with Alex in third.
The Expert class was full of the next generation of enduro stars with Henry Yardley flying in front on his 125 KTM in both legs he was followed home by Jack Cadwallader in the first leg with Max Ditchfield third these two swapped places in the second leg with Max second leg time enough to see him runner up overall. James Palmer proved to be the top man in the clubman class finishing both legs ahead of George Yardley and Gareth Jones while Chris Thumwood claimed the over 40 win and likewise Jason Rees the Over 50 title. In the sportsman class young Brecon rider Ben Williams won the first leg and finished second to Trystan Hopkins in the second leg to secure the overall victory.
