The new Protect My Income Cross Country Championship season started for Edge Offroad on Sunday at the vast Kirton Offroad Centre, near Scunthorpe. With the weather yet again playing its part in the proceedings on the Saturday, it didn’t stop anyone wanting to get the event under way.

The sun was out but it was bitterly cold and a good turn out backed the club on a nippy day.
There was a good scrap for the win in the 65 class with young Archie Hobbs coming out on top with a duo of race wins with Kyran Nicholas second overall with a win in race 2. Kenzie Cole nudged into the third spot courtesy of beating Lewis George in the final race as the two tied for points.
