Feature Team Update. Bennett/Hughes Grasstrack Sidecar Team – The Season progresses

It’s been a busy season so far for our Feature Sidecar Grasstrack team, Louis Bennett gives us an update on his crew and his Dad’s.

“”Since our last update we’ve had a real mixed bag of results. Our first meeting since the report was Fenland. We’ve rode Fenland a few times before so in a way we knew what to expect – it’s a track we enjoy. We made the final, unfortunately our dads missed the final due to further gear box problems.

It’s great to hear from our Feature Sidecar Grasstrack team Bennett/Hughes and how things have been shaping up so far this season.  Louis Bennett gives us the lowdown…

“Since Ledbury MCC held their amazing first meeting of the season in April the season has been nothing short of jam packed and hectic for the Welsh invaders. The younger crew (Shaun Hughes and Louis Bennett) started this season with the aim of securing their national license. Within 2 meetings we were able to secure them. Feature Team – Bennett Hughes Sidecar Grasstrack Team

Our next Feature Team are the Bennett Hughes Grasstrack Sidecar Race team who have a stacked season of racing lined up for 2017.

Here’s a bit about the team.

Barrie Bennett has been racing Grasstrack since 1991. He tried his hand at 250cc solos & 1000cc sidecars before settling in the 500cc sidecars. Over the years Barrie has had a few passengers. Up until 2004 he’d had 4 passengers with his last one retiring due to a reoccurring broken collar bone. Without a passenger Barrie was in hope of recruiting a new passenger to compete with.
